Pivot Point
This project transforms a compact backyard into a functional and inviting outdoor retreat. The pool design incorporates a lounging ledge for relaxed in-water seating, along with raised wall water features that introduce movement and a soothing ambiance. Pool is complete with an automatic cover.
The surrounding living area is anchored by a Structure X pergola, whose pivoting panels allow the roof to open for sunlight or close to create a solid, shaded cover when needed. Decorative panels were also integrated to conceal the pool equipment, maintaining a clean and intentional visual aesthetic throughout the space.
Despite site challenges—including a limited working area accessed by a set of steps, a sloping yard, and property setback restrictions—the design maximizes every inch of the backyard, delivering a refined outdoor environment that balances functionality, privacy, and modern style.
